Hello! I’m Ang. I’m a playwright and screenwriter originally from Newcastle, NSW. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Languages) from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Fine Arts (Writing for Performance) from NIDA.

My work has been produced on independent and professional stages across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Newcastle.

I’m a dedicated advocate for sustainable practices in the arts. I am a collective member of the wonderful science-art collective Boho Interactive, with whom I create bespoke games in partnership with groovy organisations nationally and internationally.

I’m one of the co-founders of Green Griffin and grassroots initiative Bump Out Sydney. There’s no climate justice without First Nations justice.

I’ve been shortlisted for the Griffin Award, Belvoir’s Phillip Parsons Award, MTC’s Next Stage Residency, and my play MATE was awarded Highly Commended in Playwriting Australia’s Max Afford Award in 2018 and shortlisted for the 2022 Queensland Premier’s Drama Award.

I have been the recipient of Create NSW’s Young Creative Leaders Fellowship, and in 2020/21 I was the inaugural Create NSW/Griffin Theatre Company Incubator Fellow.

One of my big passions is advocating for sustainable practices in the Australian arts sector, as well as thinking about the intersection between our rapidly-changing environment, playwriting and performance.

I’m proud to be a part of a few creative sustainability initiatives and arts collectives doing great work in the industry. If you’d like to discuss climate writing, green dramaturgy, or how you can make your creative practice more sustainable, contact me!
